National Fire Protection Association weekly update: July 22-26, 2024

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its standards development process.

Below is a list of NFPA codes and committee happenings for the week of July 22-26. 

Meeting minutes, notices and agendas and other news

NFPA 3, Standard for Commissioning of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems. A first draft meeting agenda for the 2027 edition has been scheduled for Aug. 5. The notice is posted under the “Next Edition” tab.

NFPA 4, Standard for Integrated Fire Protection and Life Safety System Testing. A first draft meeting agenda for the 2027 edition has been scheduled for Aug. 5. The notice is posted under the “Next Edition” tab.

NFPA 220, Standard on Types of Building Construction. First draft meeting minutes from the July 11-12 meeting for the 2027 edition are posted under the “Next Edition” tab. 

NFPA 221, Standard for High Challenge Fire Walls, Fire Walls and Fire Barrier Walls. First draft meeting minutes from the July 11-12 meeting for the 2027 edition are posted under the “Next Edition” tab. 

NFPA 5000®, Building Construction and Safety Code®. First draft minutes from meetings held on July 9, 11 and 15 regarding the code’s 2027 edition are posted under the “next Edition” tab.
