Texas

Construction company Adolfson & Peterson has started work on the new Forest Park Medical Center in Austin, a $90 million, 146,000-square-foot surgical specialty care hospital. The project includes 44 patient rooms, 10 operating rooms and an 80,000-square-foot medical office building. The hospital will have 82 physicians with multiple specialties.

Connecticut

An estimated $163 million in renovations are expected to begin the middle of this year at the John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. The project will include replacements and upgrades to the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and expansion of several departments, including the cardiology center, clinical pathology labs, pharmacy and more.

Florida

A $170 million, 290,000-square-foot expansion of a surgical center and adult intensive care unit at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare was approved by the health care system's board of directors. The project will include a surgical center with 20 operating rooms and space to add up to 16 more rooms and the initial build-out of 48 ICU rooms with space for an additional 24 rooms.

Texas

Walnut Hill Physicians' Hospital LLC is a 100-bed acute care start-up hospital being developed in Dallas. The project is a strategic partnership among local physicians, Medistar Corp. and Surgical Development Partners. This eight-story, 200,000-square-foot hospital will contain three medical-surgical floors, one intensive care floor and six operating rooms.
