Public commenting
Reports for the following codes and standards are open for public commenting and motions.
First draft reports for the 2027 editions of the following codes, standards and documents are open for public comment. All reports are posted under the next edition tab, and the commenting window for each closes on June 3.

Stakeholders also can participate in the development of the 2026 edition of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code®. The second draft is open for the notice of intent to make a motion (NITMAM) process. The report is posted under the “next edition” tab, and the NITMAM window closes April 18.

The committee working on the 2027 draft of NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, posted meeting minutes from its Jan. 15 meeting. The minutes are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.
