The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of March 3-7.

Stakeholders also can participate in the development of the 2026 edition of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code®. The second draft is open for the notice of intent to make a motion (NITMAM) process. The report is posted under the “next edition” tab, and the NITMAM window closes April 18.

The committee working on the 2027 draft of NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, posted meeting minutes from its Jan. 15 meeting. The minutes are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.
