Changes to clarify requirements in a proposed standard to prevent legionellosis associated with building water systems are open for a third public comment period through March 11. The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Standard 188P, "Prevention of Legionellosis Associated with Building Water Systems" is meant to help facilities professionals understand how to apply the available information on Legionella effectively to prevent cases of legionellosis associated with building water systems. The proposed standard underwent an earlier public review in June 2011.
