HHS announces $11.9 million for health IT in rural areas

Health & Human Services announced last month that rural health networks across the nation will receive $11.9 million to support adoption of health information technology and certified electronic health records. Forty organizations will receive about $300,000 each to purchase equipment, install broadband networks and provide training for staff.
