Triad Group in January issued a voluntary recall of its alcohol prep pads, swabs and swabsticks, which are sold to hospital and retail pharmacies under various labels, due to possible bacterial contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration. The products are used for disinfection prior to an injection, and if contaminated could lead to life-threatening infections, the company said. The products are sold under the labels: Cardinal Health, PSS Select, VersaPro, Boca/Ultilet, Moore Medical, Walgreens, CVS or Conzellin.
